Tribute to Sho’Nuff aka Julius Carry III

One of my favorite movies of all time is Berry Gordy’s The Last Dragon. It’s just an epic adventure of Good vs. Evil, tons of goofy fight scenes, 80s vibe from end to end, and is a story about being triumphant. With the greatest villain possibly in all cinematic history, Sho’Nuff the Shogun of Harlem.

Really, you can’t lose with that kind of setup to a film. It also features the song Rhythm of the Night. HELLO PEOPLE THIS IS EPIC! Don’t like it? Kiss My Converse! I can go on forever with the sho nuff quotes, and Leroy Green will have no change to stop me!

Sho’Nuff is So Low Down, even his momma didn’t cheer for him in the movie!

Staring Taimak as Bruce Leroy, Vanity as Laura Charles, Chris Murney as Eddie Arkadian, and the IMMORTAL Julius Carry III as Sho’Nuff… the Shogun of Harlem.

He is my favorite villain of all-time. Literally. I just don’t see how anyone could ever possibly outdo his performance in this movie. He was everything. Pre-PC days, villainous to the core, abusing to his own lackeys, and hellbent on destroying Bruce Leroy. People talk of The Last Dragon remake but I’m not sure ANYONE can fill the masters shoes.

Who’s the baddest mofo lowdown around this town? SHO NUFF!

After he passed away in 2008 I wanted to do a puppet tribute to Sho’Nuff and Julius. I felt like for all the hours of enjoyment I got from watching him the least I can do is have some of my little creatures salute The Master. Watch and enjoy. RIP Julius J. Carry III, and thank you for the laughs.
